What does eSenZ Innovations do?
eSenZ Innovations builds IoT-based hardware and software that monitors, controls and analyses solar and power systems, bringing live data, historical trends, alerts and fault analysis together in one connected platform.
How many installations does eSenZ monitor?
eSenZ monitors 4,245+ live installations through 366+ integrators, covering 1,327 MW of capacity across 278 MW-scale sites.
Which inverter brands does eSenZ support?
eSenZ supports 60+ inverter brands, along with weather sensors, energy meters, BMS data and wireless/OFC connectivity.
What are ZED and DG Synch?
ZED (Zero Export Device) prevents excess solar power from flowing back into the grid, and DG Synch synchronises solar inverters with diesel generators to cut fuel use by up to 40%. Both run on eSenZ’s data logger hardware — see the Solutions page for full specifications.
How is an eSenZ device installed?
Installation is simple. First, set the RS485 communication settings on each device you want to monitor, such as inverters, multifunction meters (MFM), transformers and weather monitoring stations (WMS). Then connect each device's RS485 communication cable to eSenZ, + to + and − to −. That's it — our team completes the configuration remotely.
Which devices can I connect to eSenZ?
eSenZ connects to RS485 devices across your site, including inverters, multifunction meters (MFM), transformers, weather monitoring stations (WMS) and other RS485-based equipment.
Can I connect several devices to one eSenZ?
Yes. Loop the communication cable from one device to the next — + to + and − to − — and connect the chain to eSenZ. All the devices on the loop are monitored through the same eSenZ unit.
Does someone from eSenZ need to visit the site to configure it?
No. Once the devices are wired, our team configures eSenZ remotely, so there is no need for an engineer to visit the site for setup.
