ZERO EXPORT DEVICE (ZED) · INDIA

Zero Export Device
for solar plants in India.

ZED keeps grid export at zero. It watches power at the grid connection in real time and adjusts inverter output, so your plant uses every unit of solar it can without sending power back to the grid.

eSenZ Zero Export Device (ZED) power limiter for solar plants

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps, fully automatic.

  1. 01Measure

An energy meter at the grid connection reports import and export to eSenZ continuously.

  2. 02Compare

eSenZ compares solar generation with the site load at that moment.

  3. 03Control

It raises or lowers inverter output over RS485 so export stays at zero.

  4. 04Monitor

Live status, history and alerts on the eSenZ portal and mobile app.

WHY ESENZ

Built for Indian sites. Trusted abroad.

Zero export, automatically

Helps you meet zero-export conditions without anyone watching the meter.

Maximum solar use

Output is trimmed only when the site cannot use it, so you keep every unit you can.

Works with your inverters

Compatible with 60+ inverter brands, including Solis, Sungrow, Sofar, Havells, SMA, Huawei, Growatt, Delta and Fronius.

Remote setup

Wire the RS485 devices on site; our team configures ZED remotely.

Built for outdoors

IP65-protected enclosure for heat, dust and heavy rain.

Alerts that matter

Configurable threshold alerts by SMS and email.

WHO IT’S FOR

Made for sites like yours.

  • Factories and C&I rooftops without net metering
  • Sites where grid export is not permitted
  • Commercial buildings and campuses
  • Hospitals, schools and institutions
  • Sites with DG backup (pair with DG Synch)

Installed and supported in all states of India, and abroad in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Congo and other countries. 4,240+ live installations through 366+ integrators.

FAQ

Zero Export Device questions.

What is a zero export device?

A zero export device (ZED) controls a solar plant so that no power flows back into the grid. It measures power at the grid connection and adjusts inverter output in real time to keep export at zero.

Why do solar plants in India need zero export?

Many sites in India are not allowed to export solar power to the grid, for example where net metering is not available. A zero export device lets these sites run solar safely within that rule.

Will ZED reduce my solar generation?

Only when the site cannot use the power. ZED trims inverter output just enough to avoid export, so you still use every unit of solar your load can take.

Which inverters does the eSenZ ZED work with?

eSenZ supports 60+ inverter brands over RS485 Modbus, including Solis, Sungrow, Sofar, Havells, SMA, Huawei, Growatt, Delta and Fronius.

How is ZED installed?

Set the RS485 settings on the inverters and energy meter, connect their RS485 + and − to eSenZ (devices can be looped + to +, − to −), and our team completes the configuration remotely.

Where do you supply zero export devices?

eSenZ supplies and supports ZED in all states of India, and abroad in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Congo and other countries.
